Silver Spoon is a student from Canterlot High and one of the freshmen in CHS. She is Diamond Tiara's best friend and both bullies to the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Silver Spoon's name and cutie mark are derived from the phrase "born with a silver spoon in your mouth," which implies being born into wealth and privilege.

Silver Spoon was first seen passing by Twilight Sparkle in the school hallway along with Diamond Tiara. She was also seen dancing with her in the school cafeteria during the Cafeteria Song. Silver Spoon is last seen doing the “bump, bump, sugar lump rump" dance at the Fall Formal with her best friend.

Both Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon appear in the film, but like in the first film, they have no speaking lines. They first appear in the school gym as they work on their poster for the upcoming Musical Showcase. Both girls later appear in the cafeteria when The Dazzlings' sing their song to brainwash the entire student body to turn the Musical Showcase into a Battle of the Bands. They are last seen only in the audience during the Battle of the Bands.
